English session

How and why does fashion shape technologies we put onto our bodies? How can we address problematic assumptions about gender and fashion within the field of technological development? Wissinger discusses how developments in bio-design and bio-fabrication might move beyond merely resourcing the body as a data stream for corporate profit, and move away from ecologically dangerous materials, toward producing wearable technology that can achieve more equitable and socially just ends.
