About Lee
Dr. Lee Bofkin is the co-founder of Global Street Art, Europe’s leading hand-painted advertising company. They are media owners with exceptional mural sites across the UK, plus offices in Belgium, France and Spain. Aside from their amazing walls, they also fully manage painting and content capture.
A former UK breakdancer, with a PHD in evolutionary mathematics, Lee co-founded Global Street Art 15 years ago. Subsequently, Lee also built an exceptional Gallery room in the heart of Global Street Art’s offices in [London / Old Street], which also houses their museum-grade visual archive (the V&A donated three collections last year). Their space is as brilliant as their work.

Stuff: Unlikely Places to Look for Inspiration and Innovation
London-based Global Street Art has expanded its visual archive to more than 100,000 objects following the donation of three collections by the V&A Museum.
Founder Dr. Lee Bofkin uses this unique historical dataset to identify visual patterns from the pre-digital era that remain relevant for modern branding. As companies increasingly rely on algorithm-driven marketing, many brands risk losing their distinctiveness and visual impact. Historical advertising techniques, including hand-painted signage and traditional composition principles, offer valuable insights for rebuilding memorable brand identities. By combining these analogue design methods with contemporary data and digital marketing strategies, businesses can stand out in an increasingly crowded media landscape.
The result is stronger emotional engagement, improved brand recall, and a more resilient marketing strategy that balances technological innovation with timeless design principles.
