About Merien
Merien ten Houten is a prominent Dutch tech entrepreneur with a focus on media innovation. He started his career as co-founder of Ilse, the first Dutch search engine, and later Nu.nl. Ten Houten plays a key role at Amber, Leapfunder and JWPlayer. He is currently CxO of Media52. There he works on the development of AI applications in journalism, such as the AI editor Laio, and explores, among other things, the potential of AI in local news provision.
